About

Orhun Mersin C. (aka Kekik) [they/them] is a Berlin-based performer and creative technologist with a background in dance. They attended the State Conservatory for Contemporary Dance in Istanbul to then pursue a Bachelor’s degree in computer science in Berlin. Their work includes interactive XR performances in which they work both as a developer and a dancer. They are interested in the choreographic material that arises from the intersection of the digital realm, body, and movement. With the aim to merge together their artistic and technical backgrounds, they are currently studying at ‘Design & Computation’ – a new interdisciplinary, research-based Master’s program between TU and UDK Berlin – with a scholarship from sdw (Stiftung der Deutschen Wirtschaft). In addition to their ‘digital’ work, they perform as a contortionist and a drag performer.
